MCP dap_threads

Description

List all BrightScript debug threads and their current stop state.

Speaks Roku's socket-based BrightScript debug protocol on TCP 8081 -- NOT the Microsoft Debug Adapter Protocol.

Wraps the device's THREADS command. Requires the app to be fully stopped (every thread halted) -- calling this while the app is running returns an error saying to wait for the app to stop (e.g. a breakpoint hit or a crash/runtime-error stop) and retry, rather than a partial or stale list.

Each thread includes a namespaced id (brs:0, brs:1, ...), whether it is the session's primary/default thread, its stop reason as both a raw numeric code (stopReason) and a resolved name (stopReasonName, e.g. "BREAK", "RUNTIME_ERROR") -- use the name, the raw code isn't meaningful on its own -- and a codeSnippet, the only source text this protocol provides (BrightScript serves no source over the debug socket).

  • sessionId (string, optional): Session id returned by debug_session_create.
Uses the active session when omitted.
