MCP debug_state

Description

Unified replacement for cdp_debugger_state -- returns a top-level paused flag plus, per active runtime, the current call stack (and for TypeScript, scope summaries). In a unified session both runtimes are reported side by side under runtimes.ts / runtimes.brs; in cdp_only / dap_only only the active one appears.

paused is true if AT LEAST ONE active runtime is currently stopped -- it is not per-runtime. Inspect runtimes.ts / runtimes.brs to see which one(s) actually contributed.

cdp_debugger_state is NOT deprecated by this tool yet and continues to work unchanged; this tool is the eventual migration target for a later cleanup phase.

On the BrightScript side, a running app reports runtimes.brs as { error: "NOT_STOPPED", message } -- this does not fail the whole call, and the TypeScript side (if active) still reports normally. BrightScript frames come from the same STACKTRACE path as debug_stacktrace (innermost-first); BRS scope/variable data is not yet available, so runtimes.brs never carries a scopes field.

Optional parameters:

  • sessionId (string): Session id returned by debug_session_create. Uses the active session when
    omitted.
