rk dcl
The rk dcl command manages Downloadable Component Libraries (DCLs) installed on a Roku device. You can use it to list the installed DCLs and to delete one or all of them.
See Dynamic Component Libraries (DCL) for more information about creating, loading, and consuming DCLs in your app.
Synopsis
The following syntax shows how to run the command:
rk dcl <subcommand> [options]Subcommands
The rk dcl command has three subcommands: ls, delete, and delete-all.
ls
The ls subcommand lists installed DCL entries:
rk dcl ls [--device <id|ip|name>] [--host <ip|hostname>] [--password <pwd>] [--json]delete
The delete subcommand deletes a specific DCL by its archive filename:
rk dcl delete <filename> [--device <id|ip|name>] [--host <ip|hostname>] [--password <pwd>] [--json]delete-all
The delete-all subcommand deletes all installed DCL entries:
rk dcl delete-all [--device <id|ip|name>] [--host <ip|hostname>] [--password <pwd>] [--json]Notes
The following notes apply to all rk dcl subcommands:
- DCL commands target Roku developer web server endpoints on port 80.
- Device selection follows the standard
rkconventions. You can use--deviceto select a device. Otherwise, the command falls back to the active device. - You can target a device directly with
--hostand, optionally, override the password with--password. - You can use
--jsonfor machine-readable output. - The
rk dcl lscommand returns entries in the form{ archiveFileName, fileType, size }. - The
rk dcl deleteandrk dcl delete-allcommands use the same server fast path asrk device package. The CLI prefers the localrk serverAPI when it is available and falls back to direct device behavior when it is not.
